DIY: Glitter Christmas Ornament


Used gift cards are made of a sturdy material so they’re a good base for glue and glitter. This is a simple and inexpensive Christmas ornament to make and I think the glitter helps make it feel quite festive.

DIY: Mini Accordion Journal


Accordion journals use one long continuous strip of folded paper where the pages can be used individually or unfolded to create larger sections. To create this Mini Accordion Journal, I decided on using used gift cards to create a sturdy cover.

DIY: Used Gift Card Jewelry


I wanted to use used gift cards in creating jewelry since they’re pretty sturdy and waterproof. And while some gift cards are pretty as-is, most gift card design isn’t something I’d like to wear. Thus, I decided to paint the gift cards with nail polish because of the color selection available and the fact that the paint is waterproof.

DIY: Gift Card Luggage Tag


Whenever I’m waiting for my luggage at an airport carousel, it’s like I’m in a sea of blackness. Black bags everywhere. I’m always squinting to see if my black bag is coming around the bend. Maybe if I used something personalized like a luggage tag, I would be able to pick out my bag more easily.

DIY: Gift Card Pad (part 1)


If you’re like me, you get gift cards. Sometimes, the gift card design is pretty cute and I just don’t want to throw it away once I’ve used up the card. So I keep it because I’m a packrat and think I might use it at some point in time.

So, I decided make the cards into notepad covers.
