DIY: Tiered Paper Fan Flower Ornament

This tiered ornament is based upon the Paper Fan Flower Ornament and can be used as Christmas ornaments or as party decorations.

SUPPLIES
  • Glue
  • Colored paper
  • String
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS
— 1 —
Follow Steps 1-5 of the Paper Fan Flower Ornament directions.

— 2 —
Repeat those steps as many times to create as many Paper Fan Flowers as you want.

I created three in three different sizes, with paper widths of: 4.5 inch, 3 inch and 2 inch.

— 3 —
Cut a length of string (mine was about 30 inches long).

— 4 —
Center the string and wrap around the center of the accordion folded paper and double-knot.

— 5 —
Glue the paper ends together on either side.

— 6 —
Double-knot the string where you want the second Paper Fan Flower to sit on (mine was about 0.75 inch).

Consider how far apart you want each tier to be. Perhaps you want barely any distance between tiers or you prefer irregular distances between tiers.

— 7 —
Place the second accordion folded paper on top of the knot and wrap each string end around it and double-knot.

— 8 —
Repeat Steps 4–7 for as many Paper Fan Flowers as you want to add.

— 9 —
Knot string ends. Cut off any excess string. Tiered Paper Fan Flower Ornament complete.
