DIY: Button Rubber Band

I love beautiful buttons. I admit that I’ll buy buttons for no other reason than they’re pretty and I want them (even if I don’t have a use for them). However, I didn’t want them to be just trophy buttons (that are pretty yet purposeless), so I decided on a quick and easy project for them: button rubber bands.

Use button rubber bands as hair accessories or as decoration for packaging.

SUPPLIES
  • Button
  • Elastic
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS
— 1 —
Cut a length of elastic.

— 2 —
Slide the elastic through the button. Center the button in the middle of the elastic.

— 3 —
Double knot the elastic at the base of the button.

— 4 —
Double knot the ends of the elastic. Cut off any excess elastic. Button rubber band complete.

Dress up a paper tag by using a button rubber band.
