Things I Didn’t Buy 76

I thought this “Good Cooks Never Lack Friends” embroidered art was very cute (and very true).

And although this isn’t really my style, I appreciate the effort it must have taken to create this embroidered flower art piece.

I thought this glass flower art was quite interesting.

This 1970s picture was quite cute.

And I really liked this coffee pot.

Vintage Pincushion and Wool

My grandmother gave me a vintage “pincushion” from the late 1800s. Many scrap pieces of fabric were sewn together to create this little pillow.

It has different bits of embroidery throughout the piece. It’s interesting to look at and I appreciate the amount of craftsmanship that it took to create this.

And a cousin gave me some wool fabric from she had received from our grandmother. She had had the wool for years, but eventually came to the conclusion that she wasn’t ever going to get around to using it, so she gifted them to me. There are four different fabrics (with different yardage), and all are cute plaid patterns. I’m not sure what I’ll do with any of them yet, but it’s all very nice fabric.

Vintage Binder Accessories

I don’t crochet or embroider, but I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to create these intricate items. From the vintage binder I bought, here are some bags and hats that I thought were interesting (but would never need or wear). This backpack is so 1970s.

And these little purses are cute.

I like the big tassel on this crochet hat.

And these are nice airy designs for the hair net and purse.

Finally, I’m not really a fan of the little hat, but I like the bag.
