Things I Didn’t Buy 84
I'm pretty sure that when I was a kid, we had a set of these boxed games that look like books. When I saw them at a thrift store I just had to take some pictures of them.

Things I Didn’t Buy 45
This lamb is so adorable.
McDonald’s clown toy—not exactly sure who would want to play with this…
This Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head kit is just silly.
There’s nothing particularly interesting about this Pigmania game packaging. I just took a photo of it because I remember playing this game as a child.
This vintage Stratego game is awesome (and was in good condition). I like the packaging…but I just didn’t need it.

Bought for $6.22
I got a shirt and skirt for $1.22 at a thrift store (since it was pay-by-the-pound). I don’t really wear graphic T-shirts, but because this J.Crew T-shirt was so cheap I decided to get it. It’s my favored navy, white and red color palette, and I thought it was pretty cute.
I tend to gravitate towards wool—I just can’t seem to help myself. I love wool. And I know I have too many wool garments (particularly skirts). But this pleated wool skirt was just so cute…I couldn’t resist. While a younger version of me wouldn’t have liked this skirt because of the colors, the current me likes this desaturated color palette.
I got this old copy of Gone With the Wind from 1937 for $2. I liked the simplicity of the cover and thought the font that was used was quite lovely.
Finally, at an estate sale I bought this Stock Market Game for $3. I played this game as a child at my grandparent’s house and enjoyed it.

Things I Didn’t Buy 5
Here are some children-related items I thought were interesting (although never had any intention of buying). First up is this sad little one-eyed stuffed animal that could be the Japanese TV mascot Domo.
This caught my eye because I remember the Care Bears. I don’t recall much of the actual plot from the Care Bears, but I’m pretty sure this cartoon did not stand the test of time, and if I were to watch it now I would be bored to tears. But nonetheless, I was intrigued by this 1980s toy.
This nested Care Bears toy perplexed me. They’re set up like Russian nesting dolls, where there’s a smaller shape inside of a smaller shape. The part that I thought was poorly thought out was the fact that they’re shaped like Russian nesting dolls, with the slightly curvy womanly shape, but instead of making each shape into a bear (which would totally work with their little potbellies), they put a scene on it. That’s not fun at all; they feel less like dolls and more like containers.
I thought the design on this Bible Game was interesting—very 1960s.
Finally, this TarePanda was fairly large and in good condition. It’s pretty cute…but totally unnecessary.

Random Vintage Stuff
While at Goodwill, I ended up getting more vintage stuff. I couldn’t help it—it was so cheap, paying by the pound it was just mere cents per item.
