I’ve had “You + Me = We-eee!” in my head for a while now—I just hadn’t gotten around to doing anything with it. It happens quite often with me that I have an initial idea and I just let it simmer for days or weeks or months, just waiting to become motivated and inspired enough to actually create something out of it.
I finally decided to make a tag that could be used for a baby shower (since to me, the sentence spoke most closely to a mother and child relationship). I automatically knew I wanted the color used in it to be yellow since it's a happy and gender-neutral color. As far as the shape of the tag was concerned, I wanted it long and thin so that the equation sentence could fit on one line. Lastly, I created wavy lines as a design element and I think that they also related well with the chosen font.
It’s a simple tag that I’m sure I’ll be able to use for future baby showers. An added bonus is that the shape of the tag easily translates itself into a bookmark.
